Laura Tanzer’s Wearable Art at the TMA Holiday Artisans Market
November 16 – 18, 2018, Booth 91 @ center of courtyard
The TMA Holiday Artisans Market + Street Festival is an annual fundraiser benefiting Tucson’s oldest visual arts institution and a great way to get ahead of your holiday shopping in downtown Tucson. Organized by TMA’s Museum Store, the event features over 140 unique and local artisans with crafts, original artwork, pottery, glass, jewelry, textiles, wearable art, fine art, and gift items. The event will feature a dozen concerts on three stages: Corbett Stage, Mooney Stage, and La Cocina Stage, throughout the weekend.
Discover Laura Tanzer’s Wearable Art
Laura will be selling her original wearable art, engineered to fit using body geometry. Cottons, linens, silks, wools. Laura believes in uniting meticulous craftsmanship with natural/breathable materials in superb textures and colors. Placing unique and practical styles on equal footing with comfort empowers Laura’s team to create clothing that moves with your body while also looking and feeling great.
Body Geometry is my system for designing and engineering clothing to fit the different body shapes.
There are six basic body shapes: Circle, Square, Rectangle, Triangle, Inverted Triangle, and Hourglass.
There are 3 different body types in these clothes. Which one comes closest to your body image?
Which shape are you? If you are unsure, come on in to my atelier, or send a picture of yourself in a leotard, and I will advise you!
